What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?
The "hands-on experience" the school offers and the privilege of being a student-athlete.

What first got you interested in your sport?
The amount of communication it requires inside the court. Honestly everything about the sport. It was love at first sight, haha.

What has been your favorite class at MMA?
Medical Care Provider

What is the best advice your coach has given you?
"Play as if that little girl who has always dreamed of playing at a collegiate level is watching you in the stands."

What motivates you to succeed?
My family and just the genuine love of the sport.

What is your prized possession?
My family.

What is your favorite book? (Non-academic)
El Principito (The Little Prince).

What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?
I taught myself to play the guitar and ukulele.

What are your hopes for the future?
That the culture of the volleyball program rises up and we win a NAC Championship.

What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why?
The Lighthouse. It is an escape from campus although it is 10 minutes away from it.

What advice do you have for incoming freshman?
Learn time management and prioritize.

What is your greatest challenge?
My mind.

What has been your favorite moment so far while playing at MMA?
Winning the NAC Championship at home and being able to represent MMA in the NCAA DIII tournament.

What are three things you have with you at all times?
Kindness, laughter and peace.

How has the InCommand Leadership Programming helped you as a student-athlete?
It pushed me to trust myself as a leader.

Which teammate has had the biggest impact on you? Why?
Maggie and Sydney. Maggie has a really stabilized mindset inside the court which I admire and Sydney is a wicked great volleyball player.

Tell us about something outside of MMA and athletics that you are really interested in:
Photography!!!

Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?
Dustin Watten, incredible libero and teammate on the USA's men's national volleyball team.
