CAPE COD, Mass. -- Maine Maritime Academy senior fullback Jim Bower has been chosen as the 2010 ECAC Division III North Offensive Football Player of the Year. Bower, Division III's rushing leader, directed the Mariners to an 8-3 mark this year. The senior fullback had a record-breaking season, ending the year with Maine Maritime's single-single rushing record of 1,916 yards while scoring 20 touchdowns. His 6,060 career rushing yards total is good for sixth place all-time in Division III history.

Senior center Dan Weamer anchored an offensive line that broke numerous school records for rushing yards in a season. This is Weamer's first ECAC All-Star selection while Nick Bourassa joins the team for the first time as a Special Teams Return Specialist. Bourassa averaged 24.8 yards per kick return in 2010 to go along with 888 rushing yards.
