Women's Swimming Competes in Double-Dual Meet at Husson

BANGOR, Maine -- Maine Maritime Academy women's swimming fell to Husson University 174-39 and Rhode Island College 134-62 in a double-dual meet at Webber Pool on Friday night. 

Four swimmers represented Maine Maritime at Friday's meet. Seniors Charlette Bradley (Slidell, La.) and Micaela Tanguay (Arundel, Maine) and joined freshmen Alesha Gregoire (Lewiston, Maine) and Ashlyn Royal (Bucksport, Maine).

The Mariners placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:13.65. 

Bradley placed second in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (38.75), third in the 50 Yard Freestyle (29.85) and the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:18.29).

Tanguay took first in the 50 Yard Butterfly (34.96) and finished third in the 50 Yard Backstroke (40.69).

Gregoire finished third in the 100 Yard Freestyle (1:15.58), while Royal placed sixth in the 200 Yard Freestyle (3:04.52).

The Mariners return to the pool on Sunday at Colby College where they will face the Mules and Norwich University.
