Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: Maine Maritime Academy women's basketball cruised to a 57-35 non-conference victory over Norwich University on Sunday afternoon inside of Andrews Hall Gymnasium.
Maine Maritime went on an 11-2 run to close out the first quarter with a 14-8 lead and held the Cadets to just four points in the second quarter to take a commanding 27-12 lead into halftime.
The Mariners maintained their double-figure lead for the entire second half to claim the victory.
Morgan Boudreau (Benton, Maine) led the Mariners with a game-high 16 points and also added two steals, Melinda Ogden (Searsport, Maine) contributed 15 points, including going a perfect 4-for-4 from three-point land, three rebounds, a steal and a block and Sydney Underhill-Tilton (Richmond, Maine) tallied 10 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Lauren Plissey (Hermon, Maine) pulled down a game-high eight rebounds to go with four points, two assists and two blocks.
KristieAnn DeSilvio led Norwich with 11 points, three rebounds, two blocks and a steal and Riley Bennett chipped in with 10 points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Maine Maritime shot 50.0 percent from the floor and 69.2 percent from three-point land, while the Cadets shot 25.0 percent overall and 14.3 percent from behind the arc. The Mariners held a 34-27 edge in rebounds.
UMaine-Machias' Last Game: Maine Machias defeated UMaine-Augusta 59-46 on December 12.
Caitlyn Lyons lead the Clippers with 19 points, six rebounds, four steals and an assist, while Tate Dolley pulled down a game-high 18 rebounds to go along with 14 points, three assists two blocks and two steals and Megan Guay chipped in with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals.
The Clippers shot 31.1 percent from the floor and 35.7 percent from beyond the arc. Machias held a 45-41 edge in rebounds.
