Sydney Williams earned the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Volleyball Rookie of the Week award on Monday.
Williams, an International Business and Logistics major from Melbourne, Florida, contributed to the Mariners 3-0 record this week, defeating conference opponent Husson University and two non-conference opponents, Rhode Island College (RIC) and the University of Southern Maine (USM).
Williams posted a stat line of 15 kills on 22 total attacks for a .630 hitting percentage, to go along with five digs and one service ace against Husson. Williams added 15 kills, five digs, and two service aces against RIC. She closed her week with a 13 kill, 10-dig double-double in the win at USM.
Williams totaled 43 kills on 80 total attacks for a .438 hitting percentage. She posted 4.78 kills per set, 20 digs and three service aces.
This week's honor marks the third time this season that Williams has been named the NAC's Rookie of the Week.
Williams and the Mariners return to action tomorrow for senior night, hosting Colby College at 7:00 PM.
