The intramural sports program at Maine Maritime Academy encourages participation in a fun and semi-competitive environment. You do not need to be a star athlete to participate.

General Policy  

Intramural sports leagues are open to all students, faculty, and staff, interested in participating in any of the programs offered throughout the academic year. To be an eligible participant, individuals must submit the Waiver/Release of Liability Form (PDF) as well as be listed on their team's Intramural Team Registration Form.   

Policy for Teams & Varsity Athletes

Varsity Athletes: Current, in-season varsity athletes are ineligible to participate in intramural sports and are ineligible to participate in their respective sport out-of-season. Varsity athletes may not participate on a team that includes coaches. Each intramural team is limited to a designated maximum number of varsity athletes. In 5v5 match ups, the cap is set at two varsity players, while in 3v3 games, only one varsity player is allowed.
