Sports Medicine Eligibility & Clearance
Fall Sport Clearance – Due Date August 1
Winter & Spring Sport Clearance – Due September 1
Any paperwork received after due date will result in a minimum of 1 full day of missed pre-season participation.
Please visit our Compliance page for athletic clearance documentation. All athletes need to be cleared by the Mariners Athletic Training Staff prior to your participation in ANY preseason and/or regular season team related activities.
- The Mariners Athletics medical paperwork is separate from what Maine Maritime's Health Center requires for a student to attend MMA.
- The Mariners Athletic Training Staff uses electronic medical records. All student-athletes can find the required medical paperwork that needs to be completed on our compliance page.
- In order to participate in Mariners Athletics, student-athletes must have Primary Insurance.

The Maine Maritime Academy Athletic Training Staff provides the best care possible to the Department of Athletics students while keeping all medical records and information confidential. The Maine Maritime Academy athletic training staff provides appropriate health care in the areas of prevention, first-aid, treatment, referral, reconditioning and education of athletic-related injuries. This health care will be provided to all students participating in the Academy's NCAA Sports.
