Terriers make 15 three's in victory

Waterville, Maine— The Thomas College Terrier's men's basketball team used a barrage of threes to defeat the visiting Mariners of Maine Maritime Academy 81-50 in a North Atlantic Conference showdown at Mahaney Gym. The Terriers finished 15 for 31 from behind the arc compared to a paltry 5 for 15 from the visitors.

Darrell Alexander (Fairfield, TX) led the way for the Terriers finishing with 23 points, including 6 for 12 from long range. Antonio Juco (Winterport, ME) was a perfect 3 for 3 from downtown and finished with 18 points, while Francisco Alicea (Foxboro, MA) contributed 13 points of his own. The Terriers led a balanced attack that saw everyone on the roster score, including team newcomers Ricky Costa (Pelham, NH), Matt Stiman (Augusta, ME), Ray Bernier (Oakland, ME), and Rob Nutter (Kennebunk, ME).

The Mariners were led by Jarred Sternbergh (Jonesboro, ME) who finished with 17 points to go along with 7 rebounds. Shawn Dostie (Bowdoinham, ME) finished with 9 points and ateam high 9 rebounds.
