LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Freshman Ben Russell netted a career high 24 points, including a 4-for-6 effort from behind the three-point arc, and collected seven rebounds to propel Maine Maritime Academy to a 55-49 victory over Lyndon on Saturday.

Bryant Ciomei tallied 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Mariners (6-17, 2-10), and iced the game by connecting on four free throws attempts in the final minute of play. Sam Bell and Tyler Pineo each handed out four assists while Jarred Sternbergh had nine rebounds.

Mike Norcross scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds for the Hornets (8-14, 4-8) while Jose Fortunato dished out six assists and collected nine rebounds. O'Bee Byrd grabbed nine rebounds and had four blocked shots of the bench for Lyndon.
