LEWISTOWN, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy entered four runners at the Maine College Cross Country Championships at Bates College on Saturday.

Samantha DePlanche (Dover, N.H.), Kara Wood (Otisfield, Maine), Blair Fontaine (Cheshire, Conn.) and Ashley Burnett (Danville, N.H.) represented the Mariners. DePlanche finished the 5k in 28:57, while Wood logged a 31:57. Running her first race of the season, Fontaine posted a 33:14, while Burnett posted a 37:35.

Maine Maritime returns to action next weekend when the Mariners host their own invitational.
