Box Score

CASTINE, Maine – Chelsea Hostetter (Morrisville, Vt.) scored all four goals to lead Johnson State to a 4-0 win at Maine Maritime Academy in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) soccer on Sunday. The Badgers (8-2, 3-1 NAC) picked up their seventh shutout of the season.

Hostetter slid a shot under Mariners' (0-9, 0-4 NAC) keeper Taylor O'Malley (Cranston, R.I.) 6:45 into the contest to start her afternoon of scoring. Less than five minutes laster, Amy Bataille (Waterbury, Vt.) played a ball into the box from the right for Hostetter to make it 2-0.

Bataille assisted on a pair in the game. After Hostetter beat O'Malley on a second-half penalty kick, a Bataille blast rebounded out to Hostetter for the easy finish.

Maine Maritime was unable to solve Kelley Lucia (West Chazy, N.Y). She recorded a pair of saves for the shutout. O'Malley stopped nine shots at the other end.

The Mariners return to NAC action next weekend against Colby-Sawyer. The Badgers will face Lyndon State in NAC play next weekend.
