February 12^th, 2011 – (Poultney, Vt.) – The visiting Maine Maritime Mariners limited the Green Mountain Eagles to 16 percent shooting in the first half and 28.6 percent on the afternoon en route to a 65-45 victory in North Atlantic Conference men's basketball action.

With the win, MMA (9-13, 4-8) took over sole possession of the sixth and final play-off spot while the Eagles remain winless (0-17, 0-12).

The Mariners stingy defense held the home side without a field goal until the 12 minute mark and headed in the break with a comfortable 27-13 advantage.

Green Mountain came to life in the second half, trimming the lead to nine with 7:33 left, but faltered down the stretch.

Shawn Dostie (Bowdoinham, Maine) rattled off a double-double with a game-high 27 points and 10 boards while swatting a pair of shots for the Mariners.  Paul Campbell (Camden, Maine) added 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting and dished five assists for MMA who shot 45 percent on the afternoon including a 50 percent effort over the final 20 minutes.

Patrick Dunn (Schenectady, N.Y.) led the way for GMC, dropping 18 points, finishing his day 4-for-8 from beyond the arc.  Kenneth Williams (Fort Meyers, Fla.) added nine points and eights boards for the Eagles.
