LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon avenged a 29-point loss to Maine Maritime Academy two weeks ago by stunning the first-place Mariners 81-68 Friday at Stannard Gymnasium.

Donna Lawson led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds; and Naomi White added 18 points – including an 11-for12 performance from the free throw line- and four assists. Ariel McConkey had 15 points off the bench for the Hornets, who improved to 9-8 overall and 5-3 in the NAC.

Samantha Goda had 18 points, 10 rebounds and three steals for the Mariners, and teammate Maggie Smith chipped in 16 points. The loss drops Maine Maritime to 12-7 overall and 6-2 in the NAC.
