WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Maine Maritime finished 51st at the New England Division III Women's Cross Country Regional Saturday at Stanley Park.

Five runners for the Mariners finished in a field of 367 with Virginia Tolbert leading the way for MMA with 29:57.77. Samantha DePlanche (30:51.37), Gabrielle Wells (31:32.83), Elin Sonesson (32:39.57) and Alice Stenquist (39:02.47) all finished for the Mariners.

MIT, the No. 1 ranked team nationally, placed four runners in the top 12 to win the team championship.
