Box Score LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – Andi Flannery (E. Machias, Maine) booted home the game winning goal as Maine Maritime defeated Lyndon State 2-1 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) soccer on Saturday.

Dani Holt (Portland, Maine) corner kick delivered the Mariners their first NAC win since defeating Lyndon State by the same score, at the same location, two years and three days ago. Maine Maritime moved to 3-6 (1-2 NAC), while Lyndon State fell to 2-7 (0-3 NAC).
The Mariners jumped out to a 1-0 lead 22:41 into the first half when Sarah Brochu (Hardwick, Vt.) picked up a loose ball and drilled home a shot from 10 meters out. Early in the second half, Lyndon's Ritza Arias ran down a pass on the right wing and sent a cross toward the mouth of the Mariner's goal. Sarah Cornell ran onto the cross from the far side of the net and headed home the game-tying goal.
Mariners' goalkeeper Taylor O'Malley (Middletown, R.I.) made eight saves to earn the win while Hornet goalie Dannika Dobrowski had one save in the contest. Lyndon (2-7, 0-3) outshot Maine Maritime 12-4 in the game and the Mariners (3-6, 1-2) held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.
