BRISTOL, R.I. -- Maine Maritime raced at the ECAC Championship Saturday in Bristol, Rhode Island. The Mariners finished 42nd out of 47 teams.
Middlebury won its fifth-straight championship with the top two runners, and three of the top five. Williams was second and Tufts, Amherst and Wellesly founded out the top five.
Catie Skinner topped the field of 327 runners by completing the 6K course in 22:30.
Jessica Faltings paced the Mariners with a 75th place finish. She navigated the course in 24:54. Emily Fanning crossed in 29:54 for Maine Maritime, Caroline Martin in 29:59, Alice Stenquist finished in 32:38 and Catherine Bailey in 32:57.
The Mariners return to action Saturday at the NCAA Division III Regionals at Southern Maine.
