PRESQUE ISLE, Maine -- Maine Maritime shutout Maine-Presque Isle, 3-0, Thursday in a non-conference women's volleyball match. The Mariners won 25-8, 25-20, 25-23 to improve to 7-6 while the Owls dropped to 0-7.

Gillian O'Neal paced Maine Maritime with 10 kills and six digs. Sydney Robertson picked up nine kills, Melissa Lail added seven kills and Betsy Trenckmann six. O'Neal and Trenckmann produced a solid .500 hitting percentage.

Molly Marcotte added eight digs and Samantha Tumolo contributed four aces and 30 assists for the Mariners.

Maine Maritime returns to action Sunday hosting Maine-Fort Kent at 1 p.m.
