BANGOR, Maine -- Maine Maritime's women's cross country finished third of four teams in the Husson Invitational Saturday at Saxl Park in Bangor. 

Husson won the team event, behind first place finisher Crystal Larabee (21:46.93), Maine-Farmington was second and Maine-Presque Isle fourth.

Jessica Faltings, who lost her shoe in the mud in the third mile, placed fifth overall with a 22:26.44 to lead Maine Maritime.

Emily Fanning finished the 5k course in 24:25.86 to place 10th out of 45 runners, for Maine Maritime.  Catherine Bailey (30:03.28) was 31st, Elin Sonesson (30:97) placed 33rd and Gabrielle Wells (34:11.97) was 41st.

The Mariners return to action Saturday at the Southern Maine Invitational.
