WATERVILLE, Maine – Thomas College knocked off Maine Maritime 91-63 in a North Atlantic Conference men's basketball game Tuesday. The Terriers improved to 4-8 overall, 4-3 NAC, while the Mariners fell to 1-10, 0-5.

Levi Barnes netted a game-high 28 points for the Terriers, Garen Manzo added 16 and Adam Carlsen recorded 12.

Kyle Boucher had a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards for the Mariners and Shep Carter added 11.

Thomas kicked off the contests first scoring, as senior Eric Westbrooks hit a jump shot at the 19:23 mark. The Terriers would not relinquish the lead over the course of the opening half, going up by as much as ten points at 13:57 on a three-pointer by Carlsen. 

Maine Maritime was able to chip away at the hosts lead, going on a 7-0 run midway through the period to cut the deficit to one. The two sides exchanged baskets in the later stages of the half, but Barnes made a layup with 30 seconds remaining to provide the Terriers with a 36-31 lead heading into intermission.  

The second half began with both teams going back and forth with baskets, while Thomas held on to a slim lead. The Terriers were able to pull away however at 8:39, going on a 15-9 run to give them a comfortable 28 point lead. 

Overall, Thomas shot 48.1% (37-77) from the field, and 6-20 (30%) from downtown. Maine Maritime went 38.5% (25-65) from the floor, while shooting 24% (6-25) from the perimeter. The Mariners held a 44-39 advantage in rebounds.

The Mariners return to action Friday hosting New England College at 5:30 p.m.
