LYNDON CENTER, Vt. — Lyndon State knocked off Maine Maritime 93-63 in a North Atlantic Conference men's basketball game Friday. The Hornets improved to 5-11 overall, 5-4 NAC, while the Mariners dropped to 1-13, 0-8.

Garrett Libby had a career-high 22 points for Maine Maritime, including 18 from beyond the three-point arc; and the tandem of Jason Hatch and Kyle Boucher collected eight rebounds each. Zach Radcliffe had four assists in the loss.  

JoJo Woodruff led a balanced attack with 19 points, eight assists and two assists while teammate George Carle added 18 points, five assists, four steals and one blocked shot. Josh Bosworth had 13 points and five rebounds in the win and Rob Alers amassed 12 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists.

Libby's trey early in the first half gave the Mariners an 8-7 lead with 17:32 left in the first half. The Hornets took a 20-14 three minutes before the Mariners rallied to get within two, 22-20, on a Brad Reed jumper with 11:43 left. Lyndon ran their lead to 10 on a Bosworth jumper with seven minutes remaining and led 51-33 at the break.

Lyndon led by double digits the remainder of the game.

The Mariners return to action Saturday, 1 p.m., at Johnson State.
