Box Score

NEW LONDON, N.H. – Women's soccer stumbled against North Atlantic Conference opponent Colby-Sawyer on Saturday afternoon, 4-0.

Both teams sat scoreless for the first 33 minutes of play, but in the 34th minute the Chargers struck twice, 22 seconds apart, to set the Mariners back by two goals. Rachel Quaye grabbed her third goal of the season when she rebounded her own shot past Kelsie Hilton (Monmouth, Maine), just seconds later Corrie Hoyt scored on a through ball from Liz Jorgensen.

In the second half the Chargers Michelle Upham scored in the 55th minute, and Kelsey Campbell capitalized on traffic in front the net to sneak another score by Lauren McKenna (Wilmington, Mass.) who played the second half in net for the Mariners.

Hilton and McKenna recorded five saves each for Maine Maritime.

The Mariners fall to 3-9 overall and 1-5 in the NAC. Maine Maritime will travel to Thomas College next Saturday, October 18th for another NAC tilt.
