Box Score CASTINE, Maine – Women's soccer stumbled against North Atlantic Conference foe the University of Maine at Farmington on Tuesday night, 3-0 at Ritchie Field.
The Beavers scored in the ninth minute when Alexandra Crocker headed in a corner kick beating Maine Maritime keeper Kelsie Hilton (Monmouth, Maine).
Crocker added her second goal of the game with a little over a minute remaining in the first half to put the Beavers up 2-0.
Maine Farmington added their third goal of the game in the 85th minute when Bridget Humphrey sank a far shot into the net, beating Hilton.
The Mariners were unable to capitalize on back-to-back corner kick opportunities late in the game and fall to 3-8 on the season, and 1-4 in the North Atlantic Conference. The Beavers improve to 4-6 overall and 3-1 in the NAC.
Hilton stopped eight shots in the loss, while Beaver keeper Sam Hatch recorded one stop in the victory.
The Mariners will look to bounce back this Saturday when they will travel to Colby-Sawyer for a 3:30 p.m. North Atlantic Conference match.
