Maine Maritime men's cross country finished eighth at the Maine State Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon.

Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) led the Mariners, finishing the 8K course in 64th with a time of 28:05, Chase Hughes (Yarmouth, Maine) placed 66th, Anthony Amalfitano (Oakland, Maine) finished 81st followed by Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) in 98th and Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) in 110th.

Bates College claimed the overall team victory, placing three runners in the top five, including the race winner, Silas Eastman who completed the course in a time of 25:10.8.

The Mariners return to action in two weeks at the North Atlantic Conference Championship hosted by Husson University at Saxl Park in Bangor, Maine on October 31.
