BANGOR, Maine – Chase Hughes (Yarmouth, Maine) led Maine Maritime Academy to an eighth place finish among 10 schools, at Saturday's North Atlantic Conference Championship held at Saxl Park.
Hughes placed 16th out of 115 runners, with a time of 28:50 on the 8K course.
Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) placed 27th with a time of 29:17, while teammate Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) placed 36th overall with a time of 29:47, followed by Chase Reidelbach (Virginia Beach, Va.) in 49th overall, and Paul Ferreira (Castine, Maine) in 51st.
The Lyndon Hornets claimed the 2015 North Atlantic Conference Men's Cross Country Championship with three runners in the top ten. Robert Hollis of Maine-Farmington was the men's individual champion as he completed the course in 27:01.1.
The Mariners return to action next weekend at the ECAC Championships in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
