Kinsman Paces Mariners to 45th at NCAA Regionals

WATERFORD, Conn. – Sophomore Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) led Maine Maritime Academy men's cross country to a 45th place finish out of 55 competing teams at the NCAA Division III Regional Championship on Saturday.

Kinsman paced the Mariners against 15 nationally ranked teams, with his 195th place finish among 380 runners. Kinsman crossed the finish line with a time of 28:03 on the 8K course. 

Chase Hughes (Westport Island, Maine) placed 257th with a time of 28:56, followed by Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) in 293rd, Kyle Huston (Washburn, Maine) in 307th and Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) in 317th to round out the top five finishers for Maine Maritime.

Williams College claimed the team victory with three runners in the top five, while Amherst's Mohamed Hussein took the individual victory with a time of 24:39.
