WATERVILLE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy's Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) was the top-finisher among North Atlantic Conference runners in the 8k race at Saturday's non-team scoring, Colby Invitational.

Boonstra placed 12th overall, out of the 52 runners with a time of 30:41.11. Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) placed 17th, followed by teammates Josh Richards (Westbrook, Maine) and Chase Hughes (Westport Island, Maine) in 18th and 19th. Keenan Martin (Dixfield, Maine) placed 23rd overall to round out the top five finishers for the Mariners.

Bates' Bryce O'Brien was the top finisher with a time of 28:02.19.

The Mariners return to action on Saturday, October 15 at the State of Maine Championships, hosted by Bates College at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine.
