MILTON, N.Y. -- Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) placed 30th overall out of 113 runners at the ECAC Championships on Saturday afternoon, to lead Maine Maritime Academy men's cross country to a 12th place finish out of 18 teams.

Boonstra finished the 8K course in a time of 29:00, followed by Chase Hughes (Westport Island, Maine) in 41st with a time of 29:39.5. Paul Ferreira (Castine, Maine) and Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) finished back-to-back in 66th and 67th respectively, while Hunter Giacomuzzi (Sebec, Maine) placed 95th to round out the top five finishers for the Mariners.

NYU claimed the team victory with a team score of 35, followed by the United States Merchant Marine Academy in second with 62. Castleton's Grandon Smith was the top finisher, followed by NYU's Brandon Shirazi.

Maine Maritime will return to action next Saturday, November 12 at the NCAA Division III Northeast Regionals hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.
