Thursday's Game: Maine Maritime Academy (1-3) at Colby College (3-2), 7:00 p.m., Whitmore/Mitchell Court at Wadsworth Gymnasium, Waterville, Maine.

Series History: The Mules hold a 14-2 all-time advantage over the Mariners, including a 7-1 record when hosting. The Mariners last victory over the Mules came on December 4, 2003.

Last Meeting: The Mariners fell to Colby College 80-65, last season on January 19, 2016, inside of Smith Gymnasium.

The Mules built an early 12-2 lead, highlighted by a pair of three-pointers from Joe Connelly. The Mariners cut Colby's lead to seven points on three different occasions in the first half, including with 1:46 remaining on back-to-back jumpers from Dylan Stevens (Wells, Maine), but the Mules scored four-straight to take a 40-29 lead into the intermission.

Colby's Ryan Jann led all players with 15 points in the first half, on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor. Stevens led the Mariners with 11 points, going a perfect 3-for-3 from the floor and 5-of-6 from the line, in the first 20 minutes.

Nick Judge (Cushing, Maine) grabbed a steal and a basket to take make it 54-50 early in the second half but despite Maine Maritime's strong surge, the Mules finished the game outscoring the Mariners 26-15 to claim the non-conference victory.

Stevens finished the game with a team-leading 15 points, four assists and three rebounds, while Tyler Thayer (Hermon, Maine) and Dylan Price (Madison, Maine) each added eight points. Tyler Gilson (Thomaston, Maine) led the Mariners with six rebounds while also contributing seven points. Brendan Newcomb (Holden, Maine) and Judge chipped in with seven points each.

Jann tallied a game-high 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, Connelly and Luke Westman each recorded 13 points, and Sam Willson grabbed 10 points for Colby.

Maine Maritime Academy's Last Game: Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to Thomas College on Tuesday night, 89-74 in the North Atlantic Conference opener for both teams.

The Terriers jumped out to a 9-0 lead at 17:13, led by seven points from Willie Grant. Thomas used an 11-point run to build a 43-19 lead with 1:08 to play in the first half, but the Mariners continued to battle, scoring five-straight to close the gap to 43-24 entering the intermission.

The Mariners went 19-for-32 in the second half, shooting 59.4 percent from the floor and went 6-for-11 from three-point land to outscore the Terriers 50-46 in the second half, led by 12 points from Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine).

Maine Maritime came out in the second half outscoring the Terriers 7-2, but Thomas responded with an 8-2 run to maintain a 53-33 lead with 14:44 to play. Nick Judge scored back-to-back layups to close the gap to 67-55 with 7:44 remaining, and a three from DePatsy closed the gap to nine points (73-64) with 4:05 to go. The Terriers scored seven-straight to rebuild a 16-point lead with 2:45 to go and despite back-to-back layups from the Mariners in the final 30 seconds, Thomas hung on for the win.

Judge led five Mariners in double digits with a career-high 17 points, while also pulling down two rebounds, and a steal. Tyler Thayer tallied 15 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals, Dylan Stevens added 13 points, a career-high eight assists, and a team-high six rebounds and DePatsy finished the night with 12 points, two assists and a steal. Brendan Newcomb chipped in with 10 points and three rebounds.

Thomas' Tyheem Simon led all players with 21 points, while also tallying four assists, three rebounds, three steals, and a block. Grant ended the evening with 15 points, three rebounds, and an assist, and both Jordan Derosby and Carlos Gonzalez chipped in with 14 points, while Gonzales led all players with nine rebounds and three blocks.

Colby College's Last Game: Clarkson University held the Mules to 33.3 percent shooting in a 77-59 victory in the consolation game of the Hamilton College Invitational on Sunday.

Patrick Stewart shot 8-for-15 on the way to 17 points and six rebounds. Sam Jefferson shot 3-for-7 from long range for 11 points, while Joe Connelly was 8-of-10 from the foul line on the way to 11 points. Sean Gilmore was the next highest scorer for the Mules with six points.

Liam Ellis led the way for Clarkson with 19 points on 6-for-8 shooting (4-of-5 from 3-point range) and six rebounds. Derek Hart added 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while teammate Drew Zlogar also had 16 points.

Clarkson darted out to an 8-2 lead in the opening 3:18 of the contest. The Mules chipped away and took their lone lead of the game at 13-12 on a three-point shot by Sam Jefferson with 13:09 to go in the first half. The Golden Knights steadily pulled away and led 32-23 at intermission.

The Mariners: After four games, the Mariners average 64.3 points per game, while allowing opponents to score 72 points per game. The team averages 41.7 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from three-point land and 75.8 percent from the line.

Appearing in one game Tyler Thayer leads the Mariners with 15 points per game, while Brendan Newcomb averages 13.8 points per game in four games. Dylan Stevens and Nick Judge average 12 points per game and Nicholas DePatsy averages 10.8 points per game.

Stevens leads the Mariners with six rebounds per game and 3.7 assists per game.

The Mariners average 31 rebounds per game and 15.5 steals per game. Maine Maritime currently leads the NAC in three-point percentage (41.1) and free throw percentage (75.8).

The Mules: After five games, the Mules average 76.6 points per game, while allowing opponents to score 74.6 points per game. The team averages 42 percent from the floor, 33.3 percent from three-point land and 71.1 percent from the line.

Patrick Stewart leads the Mules with 16.8 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game, Sean Gilmore averages 11.2 points per game, Tyler Williams leads the team with 2.4 assists per game and Maximilian Steiner leads the Mules with 1.6 steals per game.

The Mules average 41.8 rebounds per game and 15.8 assists per game.

Like Opponents: Both the Mariners and the Mules have faced Thomas College this season. The Mules picked up an 83-70 victory over the Terriers on November 22, while the Mariners fell to Thomas 89-74, on Tuesday.
