BIDDEFORD, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's cross country finished ninth out of 13 teams, with a team score of 241, at the University of New England Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) led the Mariners with a time of 29:47 on the 8k course, finishing 28th overall. Spencer Boonstra (Amston, Conn.) finished 34th with a time of 30:23, followed by teammates Josh Richards (Westbrook, Maine) and Victor Skorapa (Freeport, Maine) who finished back-to-back in 52nd and 53rd place. Keenan Martin (Dixfield, Maine) finished 74th, John Ramsey (Houlton, Maine) in 75th, and Drew Cyr (Sanford, Maine) in 76th, to round out the top seven finishers for the Mariners.

Damon Kilgore placed first for Gordon College with a time of 25:35, and UNE took the team victory at their own event, with a team score of 75.

Maine Maritime returns to action next weekend at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
