FARMINGTON, Maine – Aylen Wolf (Surry, Maine) led Maine Maritime Academy men's cross country to a fourth place finish at Saturday's North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship hosted by UMaine-Farmington.
The Mariners finished with three runners in the top 20 to combine for a team score of 90. Wolf finished 11th overall out of 85 runners with a time of 28:34.3 on the 8k course.
Zachary Kinsman (Lebanon, N.H.) finished 15th with a time of 29:39.5 followed closely by Cole Brundige (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) in 16th with a time of 29:53.4. Sam Sewall (York, Maine) placed 23rd and Brandon Goud (Wiscasset, Maine) rounded out the top five finishers for the Mariners in 27th place.
Colby-Sawyer College took the victory with four runners in the top 10, while Castleton came in second with a score of 83 and UMaine-Farmington just edged the Mariners with an 89 to place third.
Castleton's Grandon Smith took first place overall with a time of 26:24.9.
The Mariners return to action at the NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Championship on November 11 at the Gorham Country Club.
