BRUNSWICK, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country placed seventh with a team score of 218 on Saturday at the Bowdoin Invitational.
Sierra James (Campton, N.H.) was the top finisher for the Mariners completing the 6k course in a time of 28:03.0 to finish 49th out of the 89 runners.
Alex Allen (Easton, Maine) finished 59th, followed by Olivia Smith (Skowhegan, Maine) in 71st and Charlette Bradley (Slidell, La.) in 73rd. Abigail Lucas (Readfield, Maine) placed 84th overall to round out the top five finishers for the Mariners.
Bowdoin claimed the team victory, led by Sarah Kelley who completed the course with a time of 22:42.0 to finish first overall.
The Mariners return to action next Friday, October 6 at the Colby College Invitational.
