CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's swimming fell to Norwich University 170-92, on Saturday afternoon in Bok Pool.
Meet Highlights:
- The relay team of Joshua Roberts (Saco, Maine), Isaac Weaver (Lamoine, Maine), John Markillie (Richland, Wash.) and Edward David (Englewood, Fla.) placed second in the 400 yard medley relay with a time of 3:53.15, setting a new school record
- John Egger (Marion, Mass.) won the 1000 yard free, setting a new school record with a time of 11:03.99, Patrick McEneaney (Suffolk, Va.) placed second with a time of 11:14.43
- Markillie placed third in the 200 yard free with a time of 1:56.97
- Roberts finished second in the 50 yard back with a time of 26.99
- Weaver won the 50 yard breast with a time of 29.35, setting a new school record. Liam Naturale (Dingman's Ferry, Pa.) placed third in the event with a time of 31.29.
- Egger finished third in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.79
- McEneaney and David tied for second in the 50 yard free with a time of 24.42
- McEneaney placed second in the 100 yard free with a time of 54.00
- Roberts finished second in the 100 yard back with a time of 59.56
- Weaver won the 100 yard breast with a time of 1:05.42, setting a new school record
- Egger placed third in the 500 yard free with a time of 5:24.70
- Jack Valleau (Liberty, Maine) placed second in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 26.36
- Roberts finished third in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:00.65
- The relay team of Valleau, David, Egger, and McEneaney set a new school record in the 400 yard free relay with a time of 3:34.70
The Mariners return to action on Saturday, January 25, when they travel to take on Colby-Sawyer and Gordon College on the campus of Colby-Sawyer College at 1:00 PM.
