LEWISTON, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to Bates College 88-42 on Tuesday night in non-conference action inside of Alumni Gymnasium.

How it Happened: The Bobcats came out strong in the first half, shooting 58.8 percent from the floor and took a 51-20 lead into halftime, on their way to the victory.

Inside the Numbers: Andrew Liebert (Plano, Texas) led the Mariners with 12 points, three rebounds and an assist.

Kody Greenhalgh led the Bobcats with 17 points, five assists, three rebounds and a pair of steals, while Nick Gilpin chipped in with 10 points, five assists, three rebounds and a steal.

The Mariners shot 24.6 percent from the floor and 17.6 percent from beyond the arc, while the Bobcats shot 50.0 percent overall and 41.2 percent from three-point land. The Bobcats held a 49-31 advantage in rebounds.

Up Next: The Mariners drop to 3-14 overall, while the Bobcats improve to 10-7 on the season. Maine Maritime returns to action on Friday night when they host Thomas College for a 7:30 pm North Atlantic Conference matchup.
