Strong Second Half Lifts Terriers Over Mariners

WATERVILLE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to Thomas College 97-66 on Friday night in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action inside of Mahaney Gymnasium.

How it Happened: The Mariners entered halftime down by five, but the Terriers came out strong in the second half and outscored the visitors 52-26 to claim the victory.

Inside the Numbers: Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine) led the Mariners with 15 points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal, while Riley Jorgenson (Vienna, Va.) added 11 points and six rebounds and Andrew Liebert (Plano, Texas) contributed 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Zach Mackinnon led the Terriers with 21 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Demetris Webster added 20 points, three assists, a rebound and a steal and Lovegeurson Fleurine contributed 12 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, two steals and an assist. Jordan Goodson rounded out the players in double-figures with 11 points, seven steals, six assists, and four rebounds.

Up Next: The Mariners fall to 4-19 overall and 2-10 in the conference, while the Terriers improve to 14-9 on the season and 8-4 in the NAC. The Mariners return to action tomorrow, when they host UMaine-Farmington for Senior Day at 5:30 pm.
