BANGOR, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's basketball fell to Husson University 75-49 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action inside of Newman Gymnasium on Tuesday night.

With the loss the Mariners end their season at 4-21 overall and 2-12 in the NAC, while the Eagles await their NAC postseason fate with an 11-14 overall record and a 8-6 record in conference play.

How it Happened: The Eagles jumped out to a 12-0 lead in the first half, and held the Mariners to just 16 first half points to claim the victory.

Inside the Numbers: Nicholas DePatsy (Waldoboro, Maine) led the Mariners with 10 points, two rebounds and two steals, while Riley Jorgenson (Vienna, Va.) contributed nine points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block and Riley MacLeod (Bucksport, Maine) also added nine points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Bruce St. Peter and Brett Cunningham led the Eagles with 13 points each, St. Peter added eight rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Cunningham contributed five rebounds and three assists. Derek Collin and DJ Bussey tallied 12 points apiece, Collin added seven rebounds and three steals and Bussey secured a double-double with 11 rebounds and three assists.

The Mariners shot 32.1 percent from the floor and 26.9 percent from three-point land, while the Eagles shot 44.4 percent overall and 33.3 percent from three. The Eagles held a 46-28 advantage in rebounds.
