Lyndonville & Johnson, Vt. – Maine Maritime volleyball sweep NVU-Lyndon (25-11, 25-8, 25-14) and NVU-Johnson (25-13, 25-12, 25-17) Saturday afternoon in two conference matchups.

Maine Maritime 3 – NVU-Lyndon 0 (25-11, 25-8, 25-14)

How it Happened: The Mariners quick offense held strong throughout the entire 3-0 victory against the Hornets. In the first set, Maine Maritime tallied nine kills to win 25-11. The Mariners continued in the second and third set, totaling 15 kills and hitting .545 percent in the second set.

Inside the Numbers: Rachel Melampy (Marshfield, Mass.) led the Mariners with a game-high ten kills, hitting .556 percent, along with game-highs of nine digs and seven aces. Katie Albritton (Hutto, Texas) added a game-high 19 assists, three kills, two digs, and one ace for Mariners.

Calysta Lohman recorded four kills and five digs, while Charlotte Morris added six assists and two digs for the Hornets.

Maine Maritime 3 – NVU-Johnson 0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-14)

How it Happened: The Mariners continued the momentum from the morning match against NVU-Lyndon to this afternoon match, beating the Badgers 3-0. Melampy led the Mariners in all three sets, hitting .5 percent on the afternoon.

Inside the Numbers: Albritton led the Mariners with a game-high 35 assists, six digs, and one kill. Melampy chipped in a game-high 19 kills and 14 digs, while Sydney Rich (Williamsburg, Va.) added 14 digs and one ace.

Christina Betham led the Badgers with 10 kills and five digs, while Mason Lores added 11 assists, 11 digs, and two kills.

Up Next: The Mariners improve to 7-6 overall and 2-0 in conference, while NVU-Lyndon falls to 0-12 overall and 0-1 in conference and NVU-Johnson falls to 0-9 overall and 0-8 in conference. Maine Maritime returns to action on Wednesday when they host UMaine-Presque Isle at 7:00 pm in Castine.
