LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Maine Maritime women's soccer picks up a 2-0 win against NVU-Lyndon Sunday afternoon in a conference matchup.

How it Happened: After a scoreless first half, MacKenzie Carter (Ashland, Maine) scored two goals in the 75th and 81th minute to led the Mariners to a 2-0 victory.

Inside the Numbers: The Mariners held a strong 21-2 advantage in shots and a 15-0 advantage in corner kicks. Bess MacArthur (Castine, Maine) tallied one save in net for the Mainers, while Karly Cordwell recorded 11 saves for the Hornets.

Up Next: Maine Maritime improves to 6-3 overall and 5-0 in conference, while NVU-Lyndon falls to 0-8 overall and 0-4 in conference. The Mariners return to action on Wednesday, October 6 when they travel to Massachusetts to play Gordon College at 4:00 pm.
