LEWISTON, Maine - Maine Maritime women's basketball fell to Bates College, 67-42 on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

How it Happened: After a close first five minutes of play, the Bobcats went on an 11 point-run to end the first quarter with a score of 15-4. Bates continued to put pressure on the Mariners, going into halftime with a 16 point lead.

The Bobcats held their edge over the Mariners in the second half, taking a 28 point lead, their largest of the game, with six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Bates closed out the game winning 67-42.

Inside the Numbers: The Mariners were led by Lauren Plissey (Hermon, Maine) who tallied a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, in addition to five blocks, two assists, and one steal. Lauren Cook (Charlotte, Maine) was 3 for 4 on the night with seven points and two rebounds, while Makenzie Monzon (Orlando, Fla.) and Claire Felix (Mahopac, N.Y.) both chipped in six points.

Ariana Dalia led the Bobcats with a double-double, scoring 12 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, along with three blocks, three steals, and two assists. Meghan Graff also added 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals,

The Mariners shot 37.3% from the floor and 16.7% from beyond the arc, while Bates shot 40% from the hardwood and 25% from three point land.
