Box Score 2 WATERVILLE, Maine - Maine Maritime Academy volleyball fell to Gordon College 3-1 (17-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-13) and Colby College 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-13) in non-conference action on Friday night, at the Margaret M. Crook Center.

How it Happened: The Mules took the first set from the Mariners, holding a 14-5 advantage in kills on the set. The Mariners took a quick 9-0 lead in a competitive second set, only to fall short to the Mules 25-22. The Mules finished out the match with a 24-13 win over the Mariners.
Inside the Numbers: Briana Mays (Bradenton, Fla.) and Katie Albritton (Hutto, Texas) led the Mariners with four kills each, while Albritton also led the team with 14 assists and added six digs and two blocks. Makenna Middleton (Peoria, Ill.) added a team-high 15 digs and chipped in with an assist for the Mariners.
Jenny Slaveck led the Mules with 10 kills, while teammate Julia Hutchings tallied a match-high 18 digs and Morgan Selby recorded a team-best 16 assists.
Up Next: The Mariners fall to 2-3 on the year, and will return to action tomorrow, Saturday, September 11 when they host UMaine-Fort Kent for a non-conference matchup at Smith Gymnasium at 11:00 am.
