LEWISTON, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer fell to Bates College, 3-0 on Tuesday night in non-conference action at Garcelon Field.

How it Happened: The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute when Elizabeth Patrick snuck the ball into the net behind Maine Maritime's Bess MacArthur (Castine, Maine), on a pass from Courtney Gray. Gray tallied a goal of her own in the 23rd minute and the Bobcats carried a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Gray scored her second goal of the night in the 59th minute to send the Bobcats to the 3-0 victory.

Inside the Numbers: The Bobcats held a 23-0 advantage in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

MacArthur made seven saves in net for the Mariners, while Kat Nuckols earned the win in net for the Bobcats.

Up Next: The Mariners fall to 1-2 overall, while the Bobcats improve to 1-0. Maine Maritime returns to action on Saturday, when they host UMaine-Presque Isle for their North Atlantic Conference opener on Ritchie Field at 1:00 pm.
