CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime men's swimming beat St. Joseph's College ME, 140-44 on Saturday afternoon.
Highlights:
• Relay team of Cameron Sprott (Hampton, Va.), John Beres (Seattle, Wash.), Ryan Maher (St. Helens, Ore.), and Patrick McEneaney (Suffolk, Va.) finished first in the 200 Yard Medley (1:48.75), while Oscar Gonzalez (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), Griffin Erb (Bangor, Maine), John Gilpin (Portsmouth, R.I.), and Max Mattson (Blue Hill, Maine) placed second (1:57.25)
• John Egger (Marion, Mass.) took second in the 1650 Yard Freestyle (20:28.43)
• Sawyer Carson (Belfast, Maine) placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:08.43)
• Erb placed first in the 50 Yard Freestyle (24.40), while Sprott took third (24.67)
• Maher took first in the 200 Yard IM (2:13.45), while Aidan Walls (LaGrange, Ill.) placed second (2:16.60) and McEneaney took third (2:19.57)
• Beres took first in the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:05.57), while Nicholas Been (Tacoma, Wash.) placed third (1:10.28)
• Maher took first in the 100 Yard Freestyle (53.70), while Sprott placed second (54.55)
• John Markillie (Richland, Wash.) finished first in the 50 Yard Backstroke (27.56), while Walls took second (31.31) and Gonzalez finished third (32.33)
• McEneaney finished first in the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:39.42), while Beres took second (5:40.86)
• Erb finished first in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (32.58), while Mattson placed second (36.71) and Michael Perreault (Saco, Maine) took third (37.72)
• Relay team of Walls, Egger, Carson, and Markillie finished first in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:39.49), while Tyler Resendes (Westport, Mass.), Perreault, Been, and Kyle Smit (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) finished second (1:52.77)
