BRUNSWICK, Maine - Two runners represented Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country as they competed against runners from Bowdoin College and UMaine-Presque Isle at the Bowdoin Invitational 2 on Saturday afternoon.
Senior
Sarah Smith (Kirkland, Wash.) led the Mariners, finishing in 12th place with a time of 35:22.9, followed closely by teammate first-yearÂ
Lillian Verrill (Pittsfield, Maine) who placed 13th with a time of 35:23.1.
Bowdoin placed seven runners in the top eight, led by Emma Barker, who completed to 6K course in a time of 24:38.6 to top the 13-runner field.
The Mariners return to action next Saturday, October 29, when they travel to New York to compete in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship hosted by SUNY Canton at 11:00 am.
