ORONO, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's swimming and diving faced UMaine-Orono on Saturday afternoon, in a non-scoring meet at Wallace Pool.
Men's Team Highlights:
- Relay team of Cameron Sprott (Hampton, Va.), Aidan Burke (Virginia Beach, Va.), Ryan Maher (St. Helens, Ore.), and Carson Trout (League City, Texas) took fourth in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:44.55
- Fox Fernald (Portland, Maine) finished fifth in both the 200 yard IM, with a time of 2:20.29, and the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 24.40
- John Markillie (Richland, Wash.) led the Mariners in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.21 to finish seventh, and finished second in the 100 yard IM with a time of 59.43
- Trout led the Mariners in the 100 yard backstroke, finishing fifth with a time of 1:03.40
- Burke took the fifth spot in both the 50 yard breaststroke, with a time of 30.63, and the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.24
- Sprott finished fourth in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 57.42
- Griffin Erb (Bangor, Maine) led the Mariners with a seventh place finish in the 100 yard freestyle, with a time of 57.70
- Jace Chouinard (North Fort Myers, Fla.) took third in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:07.33 and eighth in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 25.81
- Jay Creegan took fourth in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.03
- Relay team of Chouinard, Fernald, Sprott and Markillie placed fourth in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:34.48
