Rachel Melampy (Duxbury, Mass.) hits .500 for 15 kills as Mariners volleyball defeats the University of New England 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-9) in a non-conference matchup on Friday evening.

How it Happened: The Mariners and Nor'easters battled out the first set, with the University of New England going on a seven-point run on the Mariners to almost take the set, but
Chloe Weeks (Farmington, N.H.) stopped the run with a kill and
Makenna Middleton (Peoria, Ill.) ended the set with an ace to win. The second set was more competitive action with each team going on several runs. In the third set, the Mariners hit the Nor'easters with four-straight points to start the set and never looked back, taking the match 3-0.

Inside the Numbers:
- Melampy hit a game-high 15 kills, on .500 hitting, along with four digs, three aces, and on block assist.
- Katie Albritton (Hutto, Texas) dished out a game-high 31 assists, two kills, two digs, two block assists, and one ace.
- Hunnie Zuber-Stephens (Lubbock, Texas) recorded a game-high nine digs, three aces, one kill, and one block assist.
- Vikoria Pavlyuk and Olivia Hand each had four kills for the Nor'easters, while Addie Miller tallied 11 assists.
