Mariners Defeat Husson in Dual Meet

CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime men's swimming & diving beat Husson University, 161-117 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
 
Highlights:
  • Relay team of Cameron Sprott (Hampton, Va.), Aidan Burke (Virginia Beach, Virginia), Ryan Maher (St. Helens, Ore.), and Fox Fernald (Portland, Maine) landed in second in the 200 Yard Medley Relay (1:43.85), while Lincoln Graf (Searsmont, Maine), Ponce Saltysiak (Bar Harbor, Maine), Sawyer Carson (Belfast, Maine), and Griffin Erb (Bangor, Maine) finished third (1:52.04).
  • Jay Creegan (East Brunswick, N.J.) came in second in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle (11:06.28)
  • Jace Chouinard (North Fort Myers, Fla.) came in first in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:52.5), while Carson Trout (League City, Texas)finished second (1:54.32).
  • Sprott finished first in the 100 Yard Backstroke (57.43), resetting his previous school record, while Graf came in third (1:01.25).
  • Burke placed first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:06.07), as Saltysiak finished third (1:12.27).
  • John Markillie (Richland, Wash.) placed first in the 200 Yard Butterfly (2:10.94), establishing a pool record in the event.
  • Trout came in first in the 50 Yard Freestyle (22.39), resetting his previous school record, as Fernald placed third (23.23).
  • Trout placed second in the 100 Yard Freestyle (49.97), while Chouinard came in third (50.09).
  • Sprott finished second in the 200 Yard Backstroke (2:14.08), as Nicholas Been (Tacoma, Wash.) came in third (2:16.09).
  • Burke finished second in the 200 Yard Breaststroke (2:28.68), as Erb placed third (2:39.46).
  • Creegan finsihed first in the 500 Yard Freestyle (5:19.79), while Chouinard came in second (5:23.90) and Graf finished third (5:35.94).
  • Markillie placed first in the 100 Yard Butterfly (56.95), as Maher came in second (1:00.13).
  • Markillie came in first in the 200 Yard IM (2:09.94), while Graf placed third (2:14.72).
  • Relay Team of Chouinard, Fernald, Trout, and Markillie came in first in the 400 Yard Freestyle (3:26.41) setting a Bok Pool record, while Sprott, Maher, Carson, and Creegan came in third (3:43.20)
