BIDDEFORD, Maine – Maine Maritime women's cross country placed eighth at the 2022 Ron Ouellette Invitational, hosted by the University of New England on Saturday morning.

How it Happened: Senior
Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) paced the Mariners, placing 43rd overall on the 5k course, with a time of 24:59.0. Sophomore
Erin Kinser (Cashmere, Wash.) placed 50th with a time of 25:50.6, while teammate junior
Sarah Smith (Kirkland, Wash.) finished behind Kinser, placing 51
st overall with a time of 26:50.6.

Joanna Howard (Eliot, Maine) placed 53
rd overall, with a time of 26:46.7 and junior
Darby Cendoma (Livonia, N.Y.) rounded out the Mariners' top-five finishers, placing 63rd overall, with a time of 30:14.4.

Inside the Numbers: Roger Williams claimed first place overall with a team score of 35 and a total time of 1:43:44, Husson placed second overall with a team score of 55 and a total time of 1:46:21, and Endicott placed third overall with a team score of 79 and a total time of 1:49:50. Roger Williams Caitlin Boufford took home individual medalist with a time of 19:52.6, Husson's Ava Dowling and Payton Goodwin placed second and third overall respectively, with times of 20:02.3 and 20:07.6.
