BRUNSWICK, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country placed 11th at the Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday morning.
How it Happened: Senior
Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) led the Mariners on the 6k course, finishing 78th, with a time of 30:10.5. Sophomore
Erin Kinser (Cashmere, Wash.) placed 82nd, with a time of 30:40.0.
Graduate student
Joanna Howard (Eliot, Maine) finished 85th, with a time of 31:03.3, junior
Sarah Smith (Kirkland, Wash.) placed 89th, with a time of 31:21.5 and juniorÂ
Darby Cendoma (Livonia, N.Y.) rounded out the top-five finishers for the Mariners, finishing 99th, with a time of 35:40.1.
Inside the Numbers: Tufts University claimed the top spot finishing with a team score of 22 and total time of 1:55:31, Bowdoin College placed second with a team score of 59 and a total time of 1:59:24, and Suffolk University placed third overall with a team score of 70 and a total time of 2:38:55. Tufts University's Carly Rinko was the top finisher on the day with a time of 23:00.3. Maine Maritime placed 11th overall, in the 11-team field, with a team score of 279 and total time of 2:38:55.
