Women's Swimming & Diving Wins on Senior Day

CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime women's swimming & diving beat St. Joseph's (ME) 107-85 on senior day Saturday afternoon.
 
Highlights:
  • Relay team of Liza Zhukov (Barrington, R.I.), Megan Durrua (Point Pleasant Beach, N.J.), Milo Cook-Sharp (Cape Elizabeth, Maine), and Sage Dentremont (Swan's Island / Tremont, Maine) finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (2:08.72), while relay team of Roxanna MacGregor (Eastport, Maine), Tamra Miller (South Thomaston, Maine), Kylie Cantlon (Burke, Va.), and Haley Kent (Needham, Mass.) placed third (2:18.25)
  • Eva Schulz (Evergreen, Colo.) finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle (13:02.59)
  • Cantlon placed second in the 200-yard free (2:18.01), while Kent finished third (2:48.77)
  • Rayelle Brewer (Cheyenne, Wyo.) placed first in the 50-yard free (25.84), while MacGregor finished third (30.91)
  • Durrua placed second in the 200-yard IM (2:37.04)
  • Natasha Kopeck (Manchester Center, Vt.) finished first in the 1-meter diving (192.30), while Emma Brondum (Cornwall, N.Y.) finished second (102.75)
  • Brewer was first in the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.52), while Cook-Sharp placed second (1:12.96)
  • Zhukov finished second in the 100-yard free (1:01.96), while Dentremont came in third (1:05.36)
  • Kopeck came in second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:11.03)
  • Durrua finished first in the 500-yard free (6:09.14), while Schulz came in second (6:28.96)
  • Cook-Sharp placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke (3:00.31)
  • Relay team of Brewer, Kopeck, Zhukov, and Dentremont came in first in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:51.40), while relay team of Schulz, MacGregor, Kent, and Miller finished third (2:02.77)
 
Up Next: Maine Maritime returns to action on Saturday, February 4 and Sunday, February 5 at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship hosted by Cazenovia College.
