How it Happened: Both teams got off to a slow start, only mustering five points each after five minutes of play. The Mariners began to take control towards the end of the first quarter, finishing out the period on top 20-11. Maine Maritime continued their momentum, hitting six three's and pushing the lead to 44-23 at the half.

Lauren Plissey (Hermon, Maine) opened scoring up for the third quarter with a layup followed by a made jump shot from
Erianna Moore (Fitchburg, Mass.), pushing the lead to 25. Back and forth play kept the score differential at 25 by the end of the quarter. The Mariners put the Wildcats away in the fourth on a 22-5 run, resulting in the 82-43 conference win.
Inside the Numbers:
- Jacquelin Castro (Melbourne, Fla.) lead the Mariners off the bench, setting a career-high 16 points, shooting 70% from the floor, four rebounds, two steals, and one assist.
- Plissey added 12 points, three rebounds, and two steals.
- Bailey Bennett tallied a game-high 21 points and nine rebounds for the Wildcats,
- Maine Maritime shot 42.3% from the hardwood and 27.3% from beyond the arc, while Cazenovia shot 30% from the floor and 25% from three point land.
