BOSTON, Mass. – Maine Maritime men's cross country placed 20th out of 25 teams at the 2023 Suffolk Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened: Junior
Ponce Saltysiak (Bar Harbor, Maine) finished 26th in the 275-runner field, with a time of 26:34.4, to pace the Mariners on the 8k course. First-year
Logan Serpico (Lewes, Del.) finished 160th with a time of 30:06.4. Junior
John Beres (Shoreline, Wash.) finished 174th with a time of 30:37.3.
Sophomore
Cooper Parlee (Brewer, Maine) finished 198th with a time of 31:50.0, while Junior
Shail Leszkowicz (Marton, N.J.) rounded out the top-five finishers for the Mariners, placing 222nd with a time of 33:08.9.
Inside the Numbers: Colby College earned a decisive top finish with a team score of 38 and total time of 2:10:17, UMass-Lowell placed second with a team score of 94 and total time of 2:12:05, while Bowdoin College finished third with a team score of 112 and total time of 2:12:43. Colby's Chris Gould and Gordon Doore finished first and second respectively with times of 25:42.6 and 25:46.7. American International's Sadadine Adam finished third with a time of 25:49.1.
